Swedish Institute Alumni Event Grants

The Swedish Institute offer all SI alumni the possibility to apply for financial support to organise an event or activity in your local context.

All SI alumni can apply for an event grant of a maximum of 12 000 SEK to realise your event idea to stimulate learning within the alumni network and contribute to social change in your community.

The purpose of the event grants is to stimulate SI alumni to stay engaged in your local community. We want to encourage alumni to create opportunities to meet, exchange knowledge and build competence – with the network or together with a partner organisation. The aim is to help the local alumni networks to contribute to positive social change, so events that are open for a broader public are also welcome.

The next call for applications is open between 1 and 20 of February.

Everyone who received a scholarship or grant from the Swedish Institute, participated in any of our leadership program or courses, have had a mission within the SI, was nominated Global Swede or are studying Swedish language abroad are eligible to apply.

Example of events that can be applied for: seminars, workshops, community service, language cafés, networking events, courses, cultural events, fika.
