The exhibition Stories of Migration – then and now, will open at the Museum of Occupations in Tallinn, Estonia, on May 16th, 2017.
This exhibition is a continuation of Swedish Institute’s project ‘Stories of Migration – Sweden Beyond the Headlines’, which tells stories of people forced to flee their homes. Migration has always been a part of human history, and the project’s aim is to go beyond the headlines of chaos and collapse of society.
‘Stories of Migration – then and now’ at the Museum of Occupations is supported by the International Organization for Migration, Baltic Art Center, Embassy of Sweden in Estonia, and Swedish Institute. The exhibition will open with a panel discussion, ‘The Age of Migration’, and a screening of Sandra Fröberg’s documentary ‘In the Trails of Boat Refugees’.
The exhibition will be open to the public during summer 2017.
